About 2011 Midsouth PetFest

What:  Mid-South Petfest is a combined Dog and Human Outing, Festival and Benefit concert in support of Mid-South area Humane Societies and Pet Rescue Groups

The Mid-South Petfest strives to create a fun and exciting event in hopes of generating much needed funds to support of Mid South Area Humane Societies and Pet Rescue Groups. This event is unlike any other local event in that not only do we offer an event to bring your pets we also have many vendors of all sorts and Humane Societies and Pet Rescue Groups at one venue to showcase available pets for adoption.

But wait that's not all. There will be Food, Drinks , Rides , Music and much more. Because this event is for the purposes of helping homeless, abandoned and neglected pets we also allow you to bring your dog. The first 500 attendees will receive a goody bag upon entering the park. We look forward to seeing you at Mid-South Petfest 2011.   

When:  Midsouth PetFest will be held November 5th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Where:  Midsouth PetFest will be held at Ceder Hill Farm in Love, Ms 8 Love Road
Hernando, MS 38632.

Q: How much are tickets and where can I buy them?  
A:

General Admission: Adults & Children Ages 2 & Up $8.50 Plus Tax,(Under 2 Free) Coolers and Picnics welcome. No Pets, except for on Sat. Nov. 5th for Pet Fest!

Large Group Rates: 10 - 19 people $.50 off per person, 20 - 29 people $1.00 off per person, 30 - 39 people $1.50 off per person, 40 - 49 people $2.00 off per person & 50+ people $2.50 off per person. One payment must be made for the entire group in order to get the group rate. Private eating/gathering areas are available for large groups that use our catering. Contact us for more information.

Discounts: All Senior Citizens over 65 & Service Men/Women Including: Military, Police, Firemen & Teachers will receive $2.00 off admission. I.D. required for discount. This does not include family members. Not valid with any other offers or discounts.

Admission Includes: Entry into the Farm, a Hayride out to the Pumpkin Patch, (Admission does not include pumpkins, Pumpkins must be paid for separately), the Corn Maize, the Petting Zoo, the Chicken Show, the Education Station, the Pig Races "Pigadega 500", Cedar Hill Rail Road, the Hay Fort, the Hay Maze, fishing in our catch and release pond (bring your own poles and bait, no minnows please) and use of our Play and Picnic Areas. (Pig Race Show Times: Mon - Fri 10:30, 11:30 & 12:30. Saturdays 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 & 4:00. Sundays 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 & 4:00.) The Chicken Show and Hayrides run continuously, the last Hayride leaves the barnyard 30 minutes before closing time.

You are welcome to bring your pets out with you to the farm on this one day of the season. So for all the pet lovers that have always wanted to take their dog on a hayride or on a walk through our corn maize, this is the perfect day to do it. Pets will not be allowed in the Petting Zoo, Pig Race or Pony Ride areas.

Q: Is there any Pet Etiquette I need to be aware of?
A: In order to keep order to this day and make it a success, please abide by the following guidelines:All visitors will receive a poopy bag.  Please carry it with you during the Event, and if your pup needs to stop to "use the facilities," please use the bag and dispose of it in one of the Pet Waste disposal Bins. Volunteers will come by after the Event to pick up and dispose of all bags. Please use a regular leash (preferably 4 feet).  If you only have a retractable leash, please lock it at 4’ for the duration of the Event. All Dogs must be current on their shots.

 
These guidelines are in place to maximize happy Event goers, happy neighbors, and a long future of dog-friendly Events at Ceder Hill Farm

 

Q: Is there parking available? 
A: Yes.  Parking at Ceder Hill Farm is free.

Q: Will there be food and non-alcoholic beverages available? 
A: Yes.  Food from participating vendors will be available for purchase, as well as water and soft drinks for purchase.

Q: Am I allowed to bring a cooler or backpack into the Festival?  
A: No. For safety reasons, No outside Drinks-Food, Coolers or backpacks are allowed.

Q: What if the weather is rainy on the day of the Festival?  
A: The event will be held rain or shine. 

Q: What kind of restroom facilities will be available? 
A: Ceder Hill Farm has plenty of permanent restrooms that are clean and handicapped accessible.
